Forest Zoo

I started with 6 wolves and 20 moose (I looked it up; the plural of moose is moose). I named the six wolves:
(Gender/Name/Meaning)
Female/Kaliska/Coyote chasing deer
Female/Tolinka/Flapping ear of a coyote
Female/Ehawee/Laughing Maiden
Male/Ohcumgache/Little wolf
Male/Shiriki/Coyote
Male/Takoda/Friend to everyone

So far, Shiriki has been the most proactive. He has marked his territory, and seems to be the Alpha male. Also, I wouldn’t be surprised if he claimed Kaliska as his mate, as she is the most active of the females. I named her well! All of these names were found on 20000-names.com, and they are all from different Native American Cultures.

You can always tell which one of the moose will get killed first. Those are the ones who aren’t bright enough to drink from the river I made them. Incidentally, I’m making this like a wildlife preserve- no bowls of water or piles of meat. That’s why I had 20 moose- so that hopefully they’ll be able to breed before the wolves eat them all. If it doesn’t work, I’ll put in 30 moose. Sooner or later, they have to be able to survive, or we’d have too many wolves. This property should work in a controlled environment too.

If my wolves starve to death, I will sue. Because when I had three in a normal zoo habitat (bowls of food and water, etc), one of them killed another wolf when not even hungry. So why aren’t these ones killing moose when they’re starving?!

Sickness hit 3 wolves: Tolinka, Kaliska, and Ohcumgache. Since they don’t heal on their own, I intervened. I was going to heal the moose, but then realized that maybe if they die of sickness, the wolves will eat them. Because though they’re weak from hunger, they frickin won’t hunt!!!

Shiriki finally killed something. Too bad it was Takoda. We mourn his loss- and will get a male to replace him. Hopefully, Pahana (lost white brother) will be smarter.

One of the moose is pregnant. I wonder if they’ll attack a baby more readily than an adult.

Another moose pregnant. I wish the wolves would mate already- they may be more proactive to get food if it helps little ones survive.

…3 more baby moose on the way. I want to kick a moose in the shin right now.

Note: Each ‘paragraph’ is a new thought- I’m writing this as I go along. So every time I minimize the game to type something, it gets a new line.

Pahana plans to mate with Kaliska! Perhaps there IS hope!
Pahana is now the alpha male. He led the pack to try to hunt a moose. It didn’t work, but at least they tried! I think they might make it, after all!

A moose gave birth. It had two fawns- maybe Pahana will go after them?

Ohcumgache seems to have gone off on his lonesome. He constantly challenges Shiriki, and decided to hunt one of the baby moose alone. Again, though, he didn’t take it down.

Shiriki and Ohcumgache are determined to fight. I hope Shiriki wins- I’m tired of Ohcumgaches stubbornness.

Yup. Ohcumgache lost. I’m replacing him with a male named Otaktay. It means, kills many. I hope he does kill many moose. Then maybe we’ll get somewhere.

PAHANA GOT A MOOSE!

Kaliska killed Ehwanee. Ehwanee will be replaced by Adsila (blossom). That I replace them so easily seems cruel- but if I didn’t, they would die out. So, it’s really not that cruel.

I have isolated the mates, Pahana and Kaliska. I may get rid of or isolate Otaktay and Shiriki, too, because alpha disputes are making them fight terribly. I don’t want them to die out, so until Pahana and Kaliska mate successfully, I’m keeping them isolated.

Kaliska killed a baby moose. Of course, she’s still in isolation with 3 (now 2) moose and Shiriki.

Tolinka is pregnant! She mated with Otaktay. Good thing Kaliska is in isolation- from pure jealously, she’d probably kill Tolinka.

Tolinka killed a moose. I like Tolinka.

I had to crate Shiriki and Adsila. If I didn’t, Tolinka or her mate were going to die, and I can’t let that happen.

Tolinka has given birth! Joy for us all! XD They are two girls. One shall be Aiyana (ever blooming) and the other shall be Aylen (happiness).

Taking a break from THIS zoo for tonight.
